Ever wonder how to fix that broken pin? Supplies needed: metal file (available at hardware store), disc backed post pin (available in multipacks at craft/hobby store), E6000 glue (available at craft/hobby store.)

  1. File surface flat and thoroughly clean surface.
  2. Place small dot of E600 glue on disc of pin. (This is the glue used to attach embellishments to garments and is heat and cold resistant. Super glue may be used but extreme temperatures sometimes causes it to fail.)
  3. Adhere back of pin. Allow to dry 24 hours in fixed position.

This same procedure using steps 2 & 3 can be used to keep a pin from spinning by adding a second post. Sometimes the disc has to be trimmed to fit on available area near existing post.

When putting pins on your leathers, use a small nail to make a pilot hole. This will save you from needing this procedure.

See you on the highways and byways!
