First of all, what a wonderful year 2016 was for AMSAF. We are so grateful to everyone that helped to support AMSAF in so many ways. We’ve been so fortunate in getting support for our ultimate goal of helping to reduce motorcycle crashes, injuries and fatalities. There is still a lot of work to do in this area but together we can do it.

As we finished up 2016 we had given out close to 2000 Scholarships to motorcycle riders across the State for a Basic Rider Course. This includes individuals from age 15 ½ on up to age 70. Many had never ridden before, some had but didn’t have an endorsement and some had experience but wanted more training. AMSAF from the beginning has felt that the more folks we can get into a training course from an education stand the better chance we have to reduce motorcycle fatalities.

As we look at March, we will hold our 3rd Annual “Riding for the Long Haul” event. This event is possible due to the State, Healthcare, Legal, Insurance and many motorcycle businesses’ coming together to help promote motorcycle safety and at the same time raise money to get more folks into a motorcycle training course here in Arizona. We are so appreciative of the many Sponsors and donors that help on this and continue to come back each year for the “Riding for the Long Haul”. This year’s “Riding for the Long Haul” will be Sunday, March 5, 2017. Mark your calendar for another great event.

Our Tuesday AMSAF Safety Facebook tips continue to be popular and we get a lot of views each Tuesday on these tips. Be sure to share this information with your family and friends. Some of these tips might help you, a friend or family member and could help save a life. Safety is so important. https://www.facebook.com/AMSAF.ORG/

As we talk about organizations and individuals who have helped us please take a look at our many Sponsors and donors who have helped us since the inception of AMSAF. We’ve received a number of Grants and we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) and Director Alberto Gutier for his constant support of our cause of helping to reduce Motorcycle crashes, injuries and fatalities. We also know that we can’t do it alone and that is why our partnerships with the State, Healthcare, Legal, Insurance and all of our local communities are so important.

Thank you for all your support and if you’re looking for a Charity to donate to this year or in the upcoming years, please consider AMSAF. We are a 501c3 nonprofit Foundation. Your donation no matter how small or big is tax deductible. Check it out: https://www.amsaf.org/donations/
