I did some research to see what others are saying about how to save money on your motorcycle insurance. During my research I visited several competitors websites. I began to laugh as I read some of the options. The one that gave me the biggest tickle and made my office manager wonder if I had somehow been exposed to some laughing gas was BUY LESS MOTORCYLE. Ok, what idiot came up with that idea? While yes this would be a way to pay less insurance, we all know that we are buying a bike based on several factors including how we ride, where we ride and of course what we damn well please! So let’s take that one off the table and look at some other options.

Increase your deductible. Holding a higher deductible will lower your premium. Be sure that the deductible you choose is within your budget. A $1500 deductible may lower your rate but if you need to file a claim make sure you can manage the larger cost.

Bundle your coverage. This is one of the easiest ways to save. By combining home, auto, cycle and even your life insurance, you can save big over the course of the year.

Take a safety course. Many insurance companies offer discounts for training courses. While you may be a great rider, giving up an afternoon to take an experienced rider course could save you money and the course doesn’t have to break the bank. offers scholarships to offset the cost of the training courses.

Talk to your agent. Your agent should be able to sit with you and provide options based on your needs. Feel free to call me anytime. As a rider myself, I know the importance of understanding your motorcycle coverage.
